Ronaldo, 31, has been holidaying in Ibiza for the past week and missed his country's friendly defeat against England on Thursday.
The Real Madrid superstar was given some extra time off after winning the Champions League in Milan last week before captaining his nation in the European Championship.
Ronaldo took to Instagram to let the world know he was off to meet with his national team, but the reason why he was sporting an ant mask is currently unclear.
After reaching the final in Portugal, the quarters in Austria and Switzerland and the semis in Poland and Ukraine, the former Manchester United legend will be aiming to finally achieve European Championship glory with Portugal, who are seemingly dark horses going into the tournament in France.
While the 31-year-old attacker has aspirations of winning the trophy himself, he also praised former team-mate Wayne Rooney and sees England as contenders.
'I was always convinced that he would be a star for England and, inevitably, captain one day. It's a perfect role for him after the era of Beckham and Terry.' Ronaldo said.
'I've watched some of England's recent matches and they have been good to watch. They could do well this time,
'For me, England always have a chance to do well in big tournaments and this time they are arriving in France with some interesting young players who have a big future. The connection in the team and the team spirit looks positive.'
