SINGAPORE: A visit to Singapore could be on the cards for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Channel NewsAsia understands that the Portuguese winger is due here on a private visit in July, although his schedule has not been confirmed.
The trip also depends on his country's performance in the Euro 2016 football tournament. Portugal face Group C leaders Hungary on early Thursday morning (Jun 23) in a must-win match for a spot in the last 16.
The three-time Ballon d'Or winner last visited Singapore in 2013, where he made a surprise visit to Crest Secondary School as an ambassador for the Singapore Olympic Foundation - Peter Lim scholarship. Ronaldo is a friend of the Singapore billionaire and his image rights are also owned by Mr Lim's Hong Kong-based Mint Media
