Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid ready to sign extension

The Portuguese star could sign a new deal ending in 2020 or even 2021.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid are finishing a deal that could see the Portuguese star staying with Los Blancos until the summer of 2020 or even 2021, according to a report from Spanish paper ABC.
While some rumors indicated that Ronaldo could be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, it now seems that both Madrid and Ronaldo want to stay together, meaning that the player could end his career in the Spanish capital.
Ronaldo would not get a significant raise with this extension, if that same report is accurate, but only a new deal that would guarantee his presence in Madrid for the next few years.
He is 31 years old and he will have to work with the coaching staff in order to rest some games and take care of his body properly, as he admitted in an interview with Jugones before the Champions League Final. Either way, Ronaldo is still an efficient goalscorer, one that could still be even more helpful to the team when he adapts to the center-striker position.
