Roberto Carlos tips Cristiano Ronaldo to reclaim the Ballon d’Or

CRISTIANO RONALDO has been tipped to reclaim the Ballon d'Or from Lionel Messi by former Brazil and Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos.

Messi won football’s most prestigious individual award for the fifth time in seven years in January.

But Carlos, who himself finished as runner-up in 2002, expects Ronaldo to knock the Argentine off his perch this time around - even if he doesn't do the business at Euro 2016 with Portugal.

The 43-year-old said: "Cristiano Ronaldo will win the Ballon d’Or, even if he doesn't win the Euros.”
