Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of breaking yet another record, but this time it is his own. Real Madrid take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final and the Portuguese superstar has a chance to create history by becoming the highest scorer in a single Champions League campaign.
Ronaldo himself holds that particular record having scored 17 in Real Madrid’s successful Champions League campaign in 2013/14 season having scored an incredible 17 goals. In this year’s campaign, the Portuguese superstar already has 16 goals and a double against Atletico in the final will see Ronaldo create history yet again.
The three-time Ballon d’Or winner always seems to bring his A-game in Europe’s premier club competition having finished as the competition’s top scorer on four occasions already.
